With the ‘Thin’ series, Juan Salvador shows to be a progressive guitar builder. The 1T is the most pronounced example of this. This high-quality instrument with a solid spruce top and Indian rosewood back and sides suits guitarists who don’t necessarily have a classical background, but want to play with the sound of a classical guitar. The African mahogany ‘hybrid’ neck is, just like on a western or electric guitar, tapered and equipped with a ‘truss rod’ to adjust to straighten it for optimal action. The rosewood fingerboard also has a slight curve so that barre fingerings are easier. For the ultimate playing comfort, the body is considerably thinner and there is an elegant cutaway for easy access to the higher positions on the neck. In addition to a high-quality acoustic sound, the Juan Salvador 1T is fully equipped to play electrically amplified. The high-quality Fishman Presys Blend system offers an equalizer, a feedback (notch) filter, a tuner plus a piezo and microphone element that, with the ‘blend’ function, provides an elegant amplified classical guitar sound in every situation.
